Alums

Welcome Alums!
Welcome to the Alum page for the CUNY Graduate Center Political Science Program! Here you will find information about alum events, news about your fellow alums, and updates about the department.
Our Department, like any institution, has grown and changed over the years. With new energy and leadership, we have worked to fortify our spirited intellectual community. Students, faculty, and alumni have come together to reinvigorate the Program, producing innovative scholarship while carrying on the Program’s tradition of intellectual rigor and public engagement. A few of those new developments are recounted below.
We currently hold monthly Department Colloquia featuring students and faculty presenters representing a wide range of scholarly approaches and areas of study. We also host professional development workshops, training students to represent themselves and the Graduate Center. We want to expand these events to include more alumni; if you are interested in presenting your work or being a discussant at one of these events please contact the Department.
We have also recently launched a new website and expanded our presence on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. Even though you are not here physically, you can always follow of our community locally or abroad. We also have a LinkedIn Alum-Student Network that we hope you will join to connect to your colleagues past and present.
We encourage you to keep in touch with the Program so we can recognize and celebrate your achievements.  Please share your news, as we will be adding updates from our alums — new publications, awards, honors, even new members of your household — to our newsletter. In addition, if you would be so kind as to send us your most recent book, we will display it with pride alongside faculty publications in the Program lounge. Please email your achievements to our newsletter editors at homopoliticus.editors.gccuny@gmail.com.
If you are not on the alum e-mail list and would like to be, please contact the Program Office.
We wish you the best of luck in your pursuits this semester!
